Cub Scouts Field Day 2005

Our cub scouts went to Woodlands Primary School to attend the Cub Scout Field Day. They participated in a telematch and went to different booths to participate to earn stamps in exchange of tokens. We ran a stall of "Coconut Bowling" and it still attract many scouts to play although it rains.

Mini Bazaar

We had our First Mini Bazaar in WRPS and our Cub Scouts run a stall called "Coconut Bowling" which uses a coconut to hit down water bottles. Many pupils came and patronised us.

District Commissioner's Award

After being train in leadership and self-reliance skills and having participated actively in Scouting activities and community service projects under the guidance of their Akela, Mr Clarence Hoe, 7 cubs scouts from our unit had an interview with Mrs Vara, District Commissioner of Yishun District. They passed the interview and received the highest award a Cub Scout can ever achieve in his lifetime as a Cub Scout before he leaves primary school: The District Commissioner Award.

District Commissioner's Award Interview

2 more of our P6 cub scouts went for the interview District Commissioner's Award with our District Commissioner in our school. Again, she asked questions about being in scouting and future plans for scouting.

The 2 cub scouts are Zia Syazwan Khan and Shaun Tan.
