Singapore Traffic Police launched its Road Courtesy Campaign 2006 in conjunction with the 26th Annual Shell Traffic Games (Finals) from 17 to 19 November 2006 at Singapore Exposition Hall 3. A total of 142 Cub Scouts participated its Road Safety Competition / Shell Traffic Games on 17 November 2006.
The Indoor Road Safety Community Park involved participating cubs in the usual driver (go-kart), cyclist and pedestrian roles in the Shell Traffic Games as they learnt about road safety with loads of fun. Programme highlights included children colouring contest, free tyre checks at Carpark D by Bridgestone Tyres, Traffic Police’s motorbike and expressway patrol car display, food and beverages outlets.
The competition saw a participation of Cub Scouts from the following 5 school units:
i. Jing Shan Primary School (34)
ii. Catholic High School (20)
iii. Yangzheng Primary School (15)
iv. Maris Stella High School (33)
v. Woodlands Ring Primary School (40)
The Scout Council’s President, Mr Noel Hon, presented the two prizes to the following winning school units:-
1st Prize Catholic High School
2nd Prize Woodlands Ring Primary School
