10 Years & Counting!

The humble beginnings of Soaring Eagles Scout Group began 10 years ago when the school was set up. Over the years, more and more boys became interested and in the last few years, the group has grown from a group of 15 boys to a full group. Today Soaring Eagles Scout Group is made up of 90 Cub Scouts, 14 Scouts and 2 Venture Scouts.

The Cub Scout Unit, is recognized as one of the best packs in Singapore, having attained the Frank Cooper Sands Award, Bronze in 2004 and Gold in 2005 and 2006. It has won major National Competitions in the last two years and produced 9 Akela Award recipients and 39 Public Health Award recipients in 2006.

Group Scout Leader, Mr Clarence Hoe highlighted in his speech that the success of the group would not have been possible without the strong support of parents who not only trusted the teachers to develop their sons, and expose them to as many different kinds of activities, but also turned up in full force at family based events like the Family Nite @ Night Safari last December and the Anniversary Celebration.

The highlight of the celebration was the launch of the Soaring Eagles Troop Scarf which commemorates its 10th year in existence, the presentation of the Cub Scout of the Year Awards, while enjoying food and games.
